Overview

The 2011 Ford Super Duty F-350 is a one-ton pick-up truck with outstanding work capacity and innumerable functional features. The F-350 comes in Regular Cab, Super Cab (extended cab), and Crew Cab body styles. For 2011, the Super Duty F-350 lineup offers an unparalleled variety of cab styles and tow/payload capacities mean Super Duty customers can configure exactly the truck they need; by grouping that variety into a handful of full-featured packages. Ford has redesigned the F-350 with a stronger frame, a revised styling, a nicer interior, better handling dynamics, and an improved turbodiesel engine. The 2011 Ford F-350 is available in four trim levels - XL, XLT, Lariat and King Ranch.

Power and performance

The Ford Super Duty F-350 comes with both all-new diesel and gasoline engines (6.2L V8 gasoline and 6.7 L Power Stroke V8 turbo diesel engines) mated to a new TorqShift six-speed transmission. The new 6.7-liter Power Stroke V-8 turbocharged diesel engine enables best-in-class towing, payload and fuel economy. The 2011 Ford F-350 has a class-leading towing capability of 24,400 pounds and best-in-class payload capability of 6,520 pounds; the new Super Duty averages an 18 percent improvement for pickup models and up to 25 percent improvement for chassis cabs over outgoing model.

Body and styling

Standard amenities on the F-350 XL include 17-inch steel wheels; vinyl front bench seat with recline feature; removable tailgate with key lock and tailgate assist; bumpers; dual beam halogen headlamps; and cargo area light; solar tinted glass; secondary glove box storage; and AM/FM stereo/digital clock with two speakers. The XLT gets a chrome grille, fog lamps and chrome surrounds on the side vent badging. The Lariat comes with two-tone on wheel lip, premium AM/FM stereo/single disc CD/MP3 player/clock with 8 speakers and subwoofer and Dual Zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (DEATC). The King Ranch adds unique painted grille surround, wheels, Pale Adobe box top moldings and running board, and King Ranch badging.

Safety Features

The 2011 Ford Super Duty F-350 is equipped with a number of safety features including airbags - front seat front with passenger side deactivation switch, SOS Post Crash Alert System, child tethers (Regular Cab, front passenger and all rear seating positions) and SecuriLock Anti-Theft Ignition.The F-350 now provides Safety Canopy System, AdvanceTrac with RSC and Trailer Sway Control on all pickup models.
